About.com has come up with a list of their favorite beginner acoustic guitars. There are some pretty good instruments in this list below. Definitely for the beginner with a notable exception being the Seagull. Check them out.

Seagull S6 – Slightly higher price. Can be considered an investment.

Yamaha Acoustic Guitar Natural – Solid instrument and a good value.

Takamine G Series G340 – Good bang for the buck.

Fender DG – Low craftsmanship

Epiphone DR-100 – Strictly a beginner guitar. No upside.

Washburn D10S – One of the best-selling guitars in the world.

Blueridge BR-40 – Focus on craftsmanship.

Ibanez AC100NT – Noted for bottom-end tone.

Taylor Baby Taylorl – Liked for its size for young guitarists or small handed players.

Martin LX1
– Another good one for small handed players.
