What’s the Fastest way to Learn Guitar?

The quickest method to learn guitar is likely by videos.When I first started out playing guitar I used to use books from the local music store to teach myself. Unfortunately the process was difficult, and I didn’t receive much feedback so it was difficult to make progress.

If there was access to the web when I was starting out I’m sure I could have used all the different resources and sites available to beginners now to learn more much faster.

Each of these video sites offers a ton of great free content. I’ve always found that watching someone do something like playing guitar is far more helpful then trying to learn it from a book or article.

Work Shop Live

Keeping with the video concept, there is a great new online guitar lessons website setup called Work Shop Live.You can visit their site and give it a test drive with the free lessons they offer by signing up.

There are several online video guitar lessons membership sites on the web, from all the ones I’ve seen the quality of the videos, instruction, and instructors is best with WorkShopLive. The instructors are top notch, and the videos are shot from several different angles so you’re sure to be able to watch both the strumming hand, and hand on the guitar neck.

This would be my second stop on the road to learning guitar fast.

Start Playing with Others

This can be a hard step for beginners to take, how ever the fastest way to learn guitar is to play with those that are better then you.

This is a bit tough at first because you can easily get lost when first starting. How ever once you get the hang of it what you learn when jamming with others is more then you can sometimes learn in a month of guitar lessons. You can learn more jamming on your acoustic guitar with friends for two hours then you might learn all month watching free guitar lesson videos.

At first, there was the DVD set titled “Simply Guitar” that my husband purchased for me.The set helped my very much in my first learning attempts, because the camera angles were adjustable to my view. Clearly seeing the video enabled me to strum along quite good with what is shown. The video was much clearer on how to form the chords so I learned them much more quickly than just by looking at chord charts.I think visual learning is effective for me since I am more visually inclined and can already read music.
